“The Good NEWs”
Are you a good person?
You might say yes, thinking back on the good things you've done for yourself or for others. But are your actions really what make you good? And if so, what happens when you fail? Are you suddenly a bad person?
Maybe you think, Well, I’m good enough. But what does that even mean? Good enough compared to whom? Compared to murderers? Thieves? Liars? Okay, then—what do YOU do? Who are YOU like?
Have you ever lied? Stolen? Envied? Lustfully desired someone? Maybe you don’t do it regularly, but you know you've done it. And if you’re honest, you’ve done it more than once.
So now let me ask again—are you still “good enough”? Are you good enough to go to heaven?
The Bible gives a clear answer: No one is good. Not even one (Romans 3:12). No amount of "good deeds" can erase the wrong you've done. You cannot be good enough on your own. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.
So what does this mean for you?
Every time you lie, steal, lust, envy, or act in sin, you separate yourself from God (Galatians 5:19-21). Just one sin is enough to create an eternal divide. And that's what Hell is, eternal separation from God.
But here’s the good news—God loves you (John 3:16). So much that He gave His only Son to take YOUR punishment. Jesus took your place on the cross, endured the wrath of God that YOU deserved, and poured out His blood to cover your sin (Romans 5:8).
Why? Because He wants YOU with Him in heaven.
Jesus’ blood washes away your guilt. His righteousness becomes yours. But you must repent and believe. That is the only way to be reconciled to God.
Don’t wait. Hell is real. It is eternal. It is a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:42). And if you reject Jesus, you are choosing that fate.
Jesus died to save you from Hell. But if you refuse Him, if you don’t want His sacrifice, don’t want a relationship with Him, He will not force you into heaven. You will remain separated. Forever.
Make the choice now to trust in Christ because you're not guaranteed tomorrow.
